The opening keynote asks the question, “Does XML have a future on the web?” You’re darn right it does! It just might not be what you think. With stories from the trenches, I’ll show how XML is thriving on the web, as well as behind it, and I’ll explain how XQuery is letting us explore new content models and even new programming models.
Jason Hunter is Principal Technologist with Mark Logic, specializing in large-scale XML content manipulation using XQuery. He’s the author of “Java Servlet Programming” (O’Reilly Media) and the creator of the JDOM open source project for Java-optimized XML manipulation.
