Content Management Systems are experiencing their adolescent growth spurt, with some of the most interesting innovations being driven by the needs of professional and technical publishers. This is especially true in the areas of XML content creation, management, and delivery. In this presentation I’ll review the features publishers have been pushing for and discuss what those requests mean about business priorities and how they reflect a reaction to historical XML-related technical challenges. I’ll finish up with tips for those evaluating the XML capabilities of CMS solutions and for the vendors that provide them.
